We Want to Be THE Local Golf Shop
We pride ourselves on giving honest, accurate information to our customers. We want to be “THE local golf shop” in which you know who you are dealing with and can call one of us to fix your club, fix your swing, and get you back on track to shoot lower scores.
Our prices are the same as the “big box” stores- but we add the service and information that is lacking a lot of times at the larger stores. We carry Bridgestone, Cleveland, Cobra, Lynx, Mizuno, Taylor Made, Ping, and Wilson. We can order Callaway and Titleist as needed. For iron fittings, we have a good selection of different shafts and heads for righties, lefties, and ladies. We are building back our wood inventory with new products coming in daily.
McHenry Metals Golf Company
In 2020, in conjunction with opening the store, 1 Stop Golf Shop purchased McHenry Metals Golf Company. Gary Adams, the “father of the metal wood” worked originally for Taylor Made in the 1980s. Then he started at a company called Founders Club in the mid-1990s. Finally, he built his own company, McHenry Metals as Gary was from McHenry, Illinois. With McHenry Metals, Gary was able to fuse all of the “best practices” he had discovered through his time at Taylor Made and Founders Club.
Jim Allsbrook
Jim Allsbrook is a retired Army Veteran. He lives in the Brandon area and also worked for the Department of Defense after his military service. He is an avid golfer who along with Sean had the vision and desire to open up a local golf store. He is not only part owner in the store, he is a client with lessons and club fittings that have improved his game over the past 2 years.
Sean Klotz
Sean Klotz has been a Class A PGA member since 2003. His resume includes General Manager positions at Silverado Golf & CC & Green Valley CC. He has also been Head Professional at Tarpon Springs Golf Course. His teaching style is predicated on working with the individual player's needs and desires to improve. Sean excels at chipping, putting, and full swing lessons and trying to make sometimes complicated body movements into simple, easily understandable concepts. With the use of Trackman, Sean can expertly fit you into your next set of golf clubs or putter or wedge or driver (you get the idea!)
Tom McCrary
Tom McCrary has over 40 years of experience as a Class A PGA member. He has taught thousands of lessons and is an ambassador of the game. Most recently, Tom was General Manager at Glen Lakes Country Club for 20 years. He has worked with all skill levels including LPGA Tour players and PGA Tour Players most notably, Andy Bean and Collen Walker.
